The antidrug agency in Dubai sends the addicts to hajj

05.10.2012

The questions of providing the addicts, who passed the full course of treatment and rehabilitation, with an opportunity to make the hajj, were agreed during the meeting of the head of the Drug Control Agency with the general director of the Dubai Islamic humanitarian fund.

The preparation of pilgrims for the trip has already started. “Trip to hajj is financed by the Islamic humanitarian fund and Islamic bank of Dubai. Last year we send 15 treated addicts to Meссф and this year we plan to send 20,”- Abdul Razzak Al Abdulla, the head of the Islamic humanitarian fund of Dubai, stated.

"Also the substantial support for the pilgrimage was provided by the Institute for Juvenile, which gave us 100 thousands of dirhams,”- Abdul Jalil Mohammed Al Asmavi, the head of the Drug Control Department of Dubai added.

Organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone, who supported their initiative. They are convinced that hajj will further become a traditional element of the rehabilitation of addicts in the region.
