E.Bryun: Students yet to be tested on voluntary basis

27.09.2012

During the press-conference devoted to counter-narcotics issues, head of narcology at the Russian Health Ministry reported that senior class students will be tested on voluntary basis at the first. At the same, he stated it was temporary measure.

‘Drug tests among the senior class students will be taken exclusively on the voluntary basis. We’ll clarify all the goals and tasks of the tests to school workers, parents and the students and then we’ll propose them to pass the tests ’ – says Bryun.

‘If a parent or a student won’t agree to pass the tests, the tests won’t be held. But when the act on compulsory drug tests among the students will enter into force, as you all understand, we won’t be asking for permission. So, now we act due to the situation’ – commented Bryun.

The statistics that every tenth student in Russia has once used drugs in life was introduced during the press-conference.
