Vladimir Putin (President of Russian Federation): We need to go back to the question of drug testing among children

During the recent meeting of Vladimir Putin with the governor of the Rostov region, the question of the introduction of a mandatory drug testing among pupils was raised in order to reveal the possible drug abuse among them.
This topic was raised by the mother of many children, coming from Rostov region, who also presented at the meeting. “Such terrible disease as drug addiction needs to be addressed at the very early stages. Do you think there is an opportunity to make the drug testing among children lawful?”- She addressed to the President.
Vladimir Putin quickly responded to the woman’s question and promised to discuss this issue with the government, however mentioned that this issue needs careful consideration, since otherwise it can create additional problems for the people.
“The main task is to solve this problem without violation of human rights,” - President concluded.
