Chocoholics proved to be true

18.12.2012

According to the researches of scientists from the University of Montreal, sweet addiction can be as strong as of drugs. Some ‘sweet lovers’ may experience withdrawals. And kicking off bad habit leads at least to depression. Uncontrolled aggression, fear of open space, irritability and anxiety and even liability to suicide this is what sweet-free life is all about.

That was the reaction of laboratory mice. First they were fed with sweet and greasy food and then they were suddenly stopped being fed with sweet food. Some mice started to act aggressively and some started to crunch cages. Others started to act cannibal-like. And the thirds started to bite their own tails.

The point is that sweetness changes chemical processes in brain. The Canadian scientists advise to kick off one of the bad habits by saying no to sweet and greasy delicacies.
