A drug-addicted elephant kicks off the bad habit

Unusual patient paid visit to Chinese vet experts. A drug addicted elephant a.k.a. Big Brother was sent to vets to undergo treatment.

According to the clinic vets’ the elephant became drug addicted because of local drug cartel. Criminals fed elephant with heroin-stuffed bananas. As a result of narcoma, the elephant led the herd in a needed direction.

An aggressive behavior of the elephant at times of withdrawals caught attention of local police officers when criminals decided to sell the elephant. Even strong steel chains were not able to calm the rabid animal down. The sellers were detained till the detection of strange behavior of the elephant. Later local police found that sellers of Big Brother were no less than drug dealers.    

A drug addicted elephant was tranquilized by using special medicines and sent to kennel at Hainan Island where he underwent a year-long treatment. Bir Brother was on methadone maintenance program, cold bathes and massage. As a result, an elephant totally got rid of drug addiction and is expected to return to his herd very soon.
