01.08.2012

The reasons for drug use are often explained by the search for new sensations. Especially young people are tend to have a desire of risk and extreme. However, drug is the easiest way. It is much harder to overcome yourself and learn to go beyond by developing your own skills.

A new sport, which came to us from France, parkour, takes on an increasing popularity nowadays. Its philosophy, to overcome barriers and strive for a goal, despite its seeming inaccessibility was shaped in France. The essence of this type of sport is a speed movement across the obstacles that can be found in the city: stairs, walls, garages, construction sites. The elements of acrobatics and athletics are used. Chances to get hurt are very high, but it develops endurance in man, however the risk factors of drug use are actually unmotivated.

People involved in parkour are called "traceurs." They are motivated young people who do not waste their powers and take everything from life, they can demonstrate their position in life, without getting involved in the drug web. Parkour brings them not only physical benefits but also helps to form their personality. They know how to achieve goals, and therefore they are successful in all endeavors.

Developed recently, parkour has already became one of the most popular extreme sports. This is explained by the fact that it is accessible to everyone. It does not require expensive equipments, everything you need can be easily found on the streets of any city. You just have to have a desire to develop and improve yourself, overcome obstacles and not to be afraid of getting hurt. "Tracer" uses only his own strength and will. Being face to face with an obstacle, he overcomes it against all odds, relying only on himself. This is a sport for the people, strong both in body and spirit.
